The GSE12/4 from SolidHub: A 3-wheel electric forklift with innovative LI-ION battery

The SolidHub GSE12/4 is a state-of-the-art 3-wheel forklift truck designed specifically for use in warehouse and industrial environments. With its electric drive and powerful lithium-ion battery, it offers an environmentally friendly and efficient solution for material handling. Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, LI-ION batteries offer a number of advantages:

1. Faster charging times: LI-ION batteries can be charged in less time, reducing truck downtime.
2. No memory effect: They can be recharged at any time without the capacity diminishing over time.
3. Longer service life: LI-ION batteries have a longer service life than lead-acid batteries, resulting in lower maintenance costs and less frequent replacement.
4. Higher energy efficiency: Their improved energy efficiency results in longer run times between charges.
5. Environmentally friendly: They contain no heavy metals and are more environmentally friendly to dispose of.
6. Less maintenance: Unlike lead-acid batteries, LI-ION batteries do not need to be topped up regularly with distilled water. This saves a considerable amount of maintenance time and a cost-intensive aquamatic system.

The LI-ION battery of the GSE12/4 is characterised by a high capacity of 280 Ah at a voltage of 24 V. This battery enables fast charging in just 5,5 h, which means that the forklift truck is quickly ready for use again, minimising operational interruptions. Once fully charged, the truck offers an impressive service life of up to 4 - 6 h.

Many advantages thanks to its narrow width: the GSE12/4 forklift truck

With its compact dimensions of 900 mm x 2.860 mm x 1.995 - 5.150 mm, the GSE12/4 is particularly suitable for narrow and confined working areas. This design allows the GSE12/4 to fit effortlessly through most standard doors and gates, making it an ideal vehicle for in-plant transport. Despite its compact design, the truck has a relatively low tare weight of 2.085 kg, which makes it easy to manoeuvre and reduces ground pressure. This is particularly advantageous in sensitive working environments. The forklift truck has a very small wheelbase and a single wheel at the rear, which gives it an exceptionally small turning radius of just 1.508 mm. This small turning radius is ideal for manoeuvring in tight spaces, between rows of racking and increases flexibility when placing and removing pallets.

Simple and convenient control directly from the driver's seat

The controls of the GSE12/4 are designed so that they can be conveniently controlled from the driver's seat. Functions such as raising and lowering the forks, tilting the forks and lateral fork adjustment are easy to use, increasing operator productivity and safety.

For the use of the electric forklift truck in Germany, a driver's licence L (forklift licence) is required and annual instruction in its use is also mandatory in accordance with § 4 DGUV V1. Please observe national regulations if applicable.

The forklift truck does not have road approval with the listed equipment. Such approval can be obtained by retrofitting the reflective coating, a warning bar and acceptance by an official testing authority.

Please be sure to follow the instructions for using the battery in the operating instructions. It is important not to allow the battery to become deeply discharged under any circumstances. It is therefore recommended that the battery is charged regularly, even when the appliance is not in use.
