Adding movement in your business – transport devices from TOPREGAL lead the way
Transporting goods, materials or even small items from A to B are part of their daily routine in many companies. Of course most of it can be transported by hand but sometimes there is just too much to move or it is too heavy. There is a suitable trolley or truck for every business area – depending on how large or voluminous or how heavy the load to be moved is. Heavy goods in particular should not be moved over long distances with pure muscle power, but should be loaded onto a transport truck, transport cart or, in the case of very heavy material, even onto a pallet truck so they can be transported safely. This not only prevents your staff’s backs from injury, but also reduces the risk of accidents.
Transport devices in the warehouse
The warehouse is the classic area of application for transport equipment. Storing and retrieving goods is at the core. Depending on whether it is a somewhat smaller warehouse with shelving racks for folders, boxes and smaller materials or a warehouse with high-bay racking with heavy-duty racks as far as the eye can see. Depending on the rack height, the former may require a single ladder to reach the goods stored in the upper section and a platform truck for subsequent transport. We offer anything from smaller steel platform trucks with a smaller loading area up to XL magazine trolleys with a large loading area. In larger warehouses that are equipped with pallet racks, pallet trucks are usually used to drive directly under the pallet, lift it and transport the goods on the pallet – this is particularly true for goods stored at the bottom. Electric pallet trucks are often used to quickly unload the goods at the loading ramp. Smaller items are loaded onto a sack truck and taken to the desired location. When handling drums or cylinders in the warehouse, special cylinder trolleys or drum trolleys are particularly suitable as they have been adapted to the special shapes. The same also applies to the transport of flat goods such as panels, sheets and boards: for this our range includes suitable board trolleys, both with pneumatic tyres and in the variant with particularly durable solid rubber tyres.
Transport trolleys for the office
Even in an office environment, nothing works without helpful trolleys and transport carts. How else are drinks safely brought to or away from the conference table for the meeting? Or heavier mail items, such as parcels, distributed to employees? A magazine trolley or platform truck is perfect for mail distribution – particularly as this transport cart can be compactly stored when not in use if ordered as a ‘folding transport trolley’. Smaller platform trucks or platform trolleys are also often used for transporting office paper. For catering, stainless steel trolleys are generally used as serving trolleys. Stainless steel does not only look the part, but is also very easy to clean due to its smooth surface and is used for hygienic reasons for the transport of food.
Which material and which tyres are suitable for which application?
We have already briefly touched on the fact that stainless steel is often used for transporting or storing food (we will soon be adding more products to our range here). Here, the material made of steel with low phosphorus/sulphur content and high chromium content impresses with its corrosion-free, colloquially rust-free, property. In the warehouse you also need hard-wearing materials as they often get wet in the rain and, above all, they must be conspicuous so that they can be seen. That’s why most transport devices for warehouse use are available in striking colours. Blue has come out on top for transport carts and this colour also prevails in the new TOPREGAL range of transport trolleys. Unless otherwise stated, our trolleys are made of powder-coated steel tube in RAL 5007 (Brilliant blue). There are also enormous differences in the wheels and castors of our transport devices, each of which is suitable for its intended use or location. Very briefly and concisely one can remember that hard castors should be used for soft floors and soft castors for hard floors. This ensures that your floors will not get damaged. Solid rubber tyres are particularly durable compared to pneumatic tyres, which unfortunately can sometimes get a puncture. On the other hand, a pneumatic tyre is much quieter when used.
