Pallet-rack accessories that improve the safety of your storage racks

We offer an extensive selection of safety-related accessories for protecting your heavy-duty racks, storage racks, cantilever racks and pallet racks and for meeting the legal requirements governing the operation of a racking installation.

Legislation defines specific requirements for operating a pallet-racking installation.

All pallet racks must be secured to the floor at the upright base plates using bolt anchors.

Collision protection for pallet racks

Collision and impact protection is an important part of every pallet-racking installation. We offer L-shaped collision protection for the outer pallet-rack frames and U-shaped collision protection for the inner frames. Our range also includes a narrow U-shaped impact guard. BGR provisions require impact protection for pallet racks. Collision guards protect heavy-duty racks against contact with electrically powered lifting equipment such as forklifts, pallet trucks and similar rack-servicing equipment.

The impact-protection hoop for pallet racks protects the sides of the rack uprights against contact with pallet trucks, forklifts and other lifting equipment. The horizontal and diagonal braces between the profiles are particularly susceptible to damage. Any damage can result in substantial costs and, in extreme cases, even cause the rack to collapse, with a corresponding risk of personal injury.

The impact-protection barriers provide the same fundamental benefit as impact-protection hoops. Their advantage is the choice of lengths from 50cm to 360cm, allowing not only pallet racks but also other heavy-duty racks, machines, industrial installations and pedestrian routes to be protected.

The DGUV provision states: These are German requirements; the applicable local requirements must be checked.

‘At the corner areas of racks that are loaded or unloaded using non-guided handling equipment, collision protection must be installed, anchored to the floor and not connected to the rack supports. (Note: EN 15 512 refers to this as upright protection.)’

DIN EN 15 512 requires a height of 400 millimetres, meaning collision protection will in future have a height of 400 millimetres.

Pallet-rack push-through protection and mesh rear panels

Our robust push-through protection for pallet racks prevents pallets from being moved through unintentionally and is supplied with mounting plates and fasteners. It is finished in pure orange RAL 2004. The stable construction visibly increases pallet-rack safety. Push-through protection is available for beams measuring 180cm, 270cm and 360cm, covering every bay length offered in our range.

The mesh rear panel for pallet racks, with a height of 100cm and a width of 270cm, provides fall protection for stored goods and for people at passageways. The mesh rear panel is supplied in pure orange RAL 2004 and can be combined with our push-through protection to support safe pallet-rack operation.

Pallet-rack depth support / depth bar

We offer pallet-rack depth supports in depths of 80cm and 110cm. They hook transversely between the beams and can be used for several purposes. Depth bars can be positioned beneath chipboard decking to increase its load capacity. Each depth bar increases the capacity by 600kg, allowing our chipboard decking to reach a shelf load of 3000kg with the aid of depth supports. The supports can also be used to store individual items or other goods not held on Euro pallets. They are painted in pure orange RAL 2004 to match our beams.

Pallet-rack decking and grating



Our range of pallet-rack decking includes both chipboard and grating, each suitable for individual goods such as cartons.
Wooden decking is placed on the beams and secured against accidental movement using 4 Z-shaped brackets per panel. The brackets are included in the price. Our decking is 38mm thick and supports 1500kg per panel without depth supports. Using depth bars increases the capacity to as much as 3000kg as a shelf load.
