Efficient solutions for maximum storage capacity
ReFood GmbH & Co. KG is a leading provider for the sustainable disposal and recycling of food waste and frying fats. Since 1991, the company has been using state-of-the-art technology to process organic waste and turn it into valuable products such as biogas, fertilizer, green electricity and biodiesel.
In order to avoid processing plant breakdowns and ensure continuous operation, ReFood always keeps a large quantity of spare parts and important operating resources in stock on site, which requires a correspondingly high storage capacity. In addition, a legislative change in the German Biowaste Ordinance made it necessary to comprehensively adapt the plant technology and completely reorganize the storage area.
In the search for suitable pallet racking, Christian Ridder, branch manager at the Marl site, came across TOPREGAL: "The pallet racking configurator was a great help for us. It is incredibly intuitive to use and I was able to simply enter our measured values directly. This allowed us to configure racks with very high shelf loads so that we don't have to constantly keep an eye on the load."
Flexible and fast
The company was particularly impressed by the flexible customization options to meet ReFood's specific requirements. "We were able to add push-through protection, gratings and collision protection in warning color directly to the shelves - all quickly and easily in the configurator. Adjustments can be made without lengthy discussions with the sales department, which saves us an enormous amount of time," adds Ridder.
In addition to the pallet racking including rack assembly, ReFood also opted for electric pallet trucks from TOPREGAL's own SolidHub brand. ReFood's warehouse equipment now includes the HE1200/3 electric stacker, the HWE1500-2 electric pallet truck and the HWE2000-2 electric pallet truck. "The price-performance ratio here is simply absolutely convincing. We use the devices not only in the warehouse, but also on our trucks because they are so versatile." The lifting devices support the handling of pallet boxes and are used flexibly at different locations.
Christian Ridder particularly emphasizes the uncomplicated and fast implementation: "TOPREGAL offers exactly the solutions we need for our specific warehouse requirements - and with extremely short delivery times."
