Minimum
Minimum relies on storage shelving and pallet racking from TOPREGAL
The high-end furniture store minimum is expanding the logistics for the online store and the Quick Ship warehouse in addition to the existing stores in Berlin. The centerpiece is an old brick hall on the Havel with storage racks and pallet racks from TOPREGAL.
The exclusivity of the site and the history of the location are apparent to anyone who turns into Telegrafenweg in Berlin-Haselhorst by car. At the end of the road, directly on the Havel, lies the former Prussian gunpowder factory. You inevitably slow down to take in the size of the 25,000 square meter site. Berlin architect Ingo Pott markets the site as "Berlin's place for originals".
It is therefore only logical that minimum has also been present on site since 2013. In the warehouse of the former shipyard, the furniture design retailer has rented an almost 600 square meter brick industrial hall up to six meters high in the Premiumsegnet. Originally, the hall was primarily used as a location for occasional sales promotions. And as a warehouse for so-called "used products", i.e. display items. After all, the furniture and furnishings for the customer segment addressed by minimum are generally custom-made and unique.
In the meantime, the minimum site on the Havel has been converted into a classic warehouse for new goods. The necessary storage racks and pallet racks were supplied by TOPREGAL. "In addition to the comparatively low prices, we particularly liked the fact that TOPREGAL's website provided specific information for our rough calculation," recalls Thiemo Zielinski. The 34-year-old e-commerce expert was thus able to determine how many storage shelves and pallet racks would fit in the warehouse. With the proviso that only an electric ant was to be used instead of a forklift truck. In the end, minimum ordered around 120 meters of pallet racking with a height of 4.5 m and almost 40 meters of storage racking with a height of 2.5 m in three orders.
Transparent prices
"At TOPREGAL, we focus on transparency as well as low prices and safe shelving systems. This also includes putting complete offers including accessories and assembly materials online for practically all possible shelving variants," emphasizes Timo Munz. The 31-year-old has been working for us in the field between Emsland and Usedom since 2017. The fact that the Elmshorn native has been working with upright profiles, shelving beams and bay loads of storage shelving/wide span shelving & cantilever racking for over ten years becomes clear as soon as you listen to him.

Timo Munz has already outlined various options should further racking capacity be required in the future: To ensure that minimum can utilize the maximum amount of shelf space, one option would be to increase the spacing between the rows of pallet racking. drive-through racks racks. On the other hand, however, it would be more promising and ultimately cheaper to install a storage platform for the area of the storage racks in the front part of the hall. storage platform as a second level. This would also allow the entire height of the warehouse to be used optimally.
