Pallet-rack accessories: uprights in different heights
Pallet-rack accessories frequently include uprights in different heights that allow a heavy-duty rack to be adapted individually to warehouse conditions. Uprights for our pallet racks are available in heights from 200 to 750 centimetres, providing suitable options for halls, warehouses, supermarkets and DIY stores of varying heights. Bay loads range from 9,000 kilograms for PR4500/PR9000 to 15,000 kilograms for PR15000, allowing you to select an upright that supports the stored goods reliably. Two different depths help make optimum use of the available area, even where space is restricted. Compatible accessories also allow pallet racks to be installed outside buildings. Hot-dip galvanised, corrosion-resistant uprights withstand even demanding weather conditions and provide a dependable foundation.
Retrofit pallet-rack accessories with ease
Pallet-rack beams are available in three lengths: 180 centimetres, 270 centimetres and 360 centimetres. As one of the most important accessories in the warehouse, their task is to carry the load. Depending on the beam length and pallet-rack type, shelf loads range from 2,000 to a maximum of 4,500 kilograms. This enables particularly heavy goods on Euro pallets to be stored in a professional pallet rack. Locking pins make the accessories straightforward to install, so a pallet rack can be assembled or retrofitted with components and accessories at any time. The material determines the appropriate installation location: beams for the PR4500 and PR9000 are also available in hot-dip galvanised versions suitable for outdoor storage.
Pallet-rack components: which decking is appropriate?
Decking for pallet racks is as varied as the applications of industrial racking. Choose between wood, steel, grating and wire-mesh decking. No decking is generally required when only Euro pallets are stored. However, it becomes an essential component for small items, open-fronted storage bins, cases and other packages that do not conform to standard pallet dimensions. Each material and design has specific properties. Wooden decking is suitable for lightweight goods in dry rooms. Where a building has a high fire load, more resistant materials such as hot-dip galvanised steel grating may be preferable, and these are also suitable for corrosive environments. Our team will be happy to advise you on the optimum pallet-rack decking.
Safety first for pallet racks and accessories
A pallet rack is rarely used alone. Industrial trucks such as forklifts, stackers and high-speed pallet trucks often simplify everyday warehouse work. To protect rack uprights and lower structures against collisions, pallet racks require safety-related accessories such as impact-protection bollards, collision guards in a U or L shape, or complete impact-protection barriers. These protect both your wide-span racks and the goods and raw materials stored in them. Suitable protective equipment is required by DGUV 208-061. Impact-protection barriers and collision guards are secured easily to the floor using bolt anchors. These safety devices are TÜV tested and meet the relevant standards and regulations. Choose TOPREGAL safety accessories to create a dependable installation. These are German requirements; the applicable local requirements must be checked.
Further pallet-rack accessories and components
Mesh rear panels, drum supports, spacers and load distributors demonstrate the variety of TOPREGAL pallet-rack components and accessories. A mesh rear panel prevents goods from falling from the back of the rack, while a drum support turns a pallet rack into a drum rack and saves considerable floor space. Matching spill trays are available in two sizes. Spacers and load distributors add further functionality, allowing several racks to be positioned back to back or secured to a wall. A load distributor spreads the weight of individual items more evenly across the beams and therefore the rack's supporting elements, increasing the load supported by the decking. Ask TOPREGAL's specialists for advice on selecting the best solution from the many available options.
